PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Microneedling
FAQ'S
The Vampire Facial® is a trademarked name, and only providers who have been trained by the Cellular Medicine Association can offer this procedure. The only place to get this celebrity-endorsed treatment in St. Louis city is at Reclaim Men’s Clinic. There are many imitations out there, but this is the only Vampire Facial®.
This is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of an FDA approved device called the Rejuvapen. The Rejuvapen contains fine needles used to minimally puncture the skin and create a controlled skin injury. In these tiny punctures, a channel is created that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by stimulating collagen production. PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma, which is derived from your own blood, is applied during the microneedling procedure. PRP contains growth factors which accelerate the stimulation of collagen production.
Microneedling has been proven to reduce scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, skin texture, pore size, and stretch marks, as well as harder-to-treat issues such as hypertrophic and burn scars on the body, face, arms, and legs. This treatment can be performed on anyone between the ages of 16 and 60+ – it is truly a treatment for everyone!

When you arrive at the office, topical numbing is applied, then a small amount of blood is drawn from your arm. That blood is processed in an FDA approved centrifuge where the platelets are separated. This process uses your body’s own fluids to heal itself! Next, your skin is cleansed after the numbing takes effect, then the microneedling is performed followed by an application of PRP.
This procedure requires little to no downtime and can be customized to go deeper into the skin where damage requires a more aggressive approach to treatment. The forehead and bridge of the nose tend to be the most sensitive areas, but for the most part, you’ll just feel small vibrations and find this treatment very comfortable.
After the treatment is over, your face will be pink or red (comparable to a sunburn). By the following morning, you can return to your routine and use a gentle cleanser, SPF and even apply a little makeup if you wish! Usually, multiple treatments are necessary to achieve the best results with microneedling. The number of sessions you will need depends on your skin condition, and your provider will create a treatment plan tailored specifically for you. Three or four treatments are usually recommended for mild to moderate acne scarring, whereas deeper scars and stretch marks may require five or more treatments!
